Rhycon

Compare nine Apollo alternatives by what they actually replace: contact data, enrichment, email sequences or the work of running outbound.
An Apollo alternative should replace the part of the workflow that is failing. If the problem is contact coverage, test another data source. If the problem is sequence operations, compare engagement tools. If nobody owns research and replies, another database may not solve the bottleneck.
Apollo includes both data and engagement capabilities. Replacing it with a narrower product can create a second subscription and a new integration. Map what your team uses before cancelling anything. This guide is based on published product information, not a hands-on ranking of data accuracy. Rhycon is included as a different operating model and has a commercial interest in the comparison.
Nine options, grouped by the job
Alternative | Main job to evaluate | What to keep in the budget |
|---|---|---|
Clay | Configurable enrichment and AI research | Actions, data credits and operator time |
Persana | Enrichment and research in one workspace | Credit consumption and integration tier |
FullEnrich | Finding contact details | Sequencing and CRM tools retained |
Hunter | Email discovery, verification and sequences | Credit and connected-account limits |
Lusha | Contact data and rep prospecting | Credit model and team configuration |
Cognism | Sales data, including phone-focused use cases | Written package and coverage requirements |
ZoomInfo | Enterprise sales intelligence evaluation | Selected modules and contract terms |
Saleshandy | Email outreach with prospecting capabilities | Plan limits and data consumption |
Rhycon | Research, outreach and qualification workflow | Agreed automation scope and responsibilities |
First, establish what Apollo currently costs you
Apollo’s published Basic plan is $49 per user per month on annual billing. Its current Free plan lists 900 credits per year, granted monthly, rather than the much larger free allowances quoted in some older comparisons. Price the specific tier your team needs, including credit consumption and any minimum-seat commitment. Apollo pricing.
A useful baseline contains more than the invoice: accepted contacts, qualified replies, operator hours and the tools you already use beside Apollo. You cannot tell whether a replacement is economical if the current system’s output is unknown.
Clay and Persana for configurable research
Clay is a candidate when enrichment needs several sources or custom research steps. Launch starts at $167 per month with action and data-credit allowances; seats are unlimited. That does not make it automatically cheaper at a particular headcount. Clay pricing.
Persana lists Starter at $85 monthly, or $68 per month with annual billing. Evaluate the plan containing the integrations you actually need: some CRM capabilities sit above Starter. Persana pricing.
With either option, test source-backed answers rather than merely well-written output. Ask the person who will maintain the workflow to build and repair it during the evaluation. Our Apollo vs Clay guide supplies a practical scorecard.
FullEnrich and Hunter for a narrower requirement
FullEnrich is worth testing when you already know the people you want and need contact enrichment. Its result-based credit model should be evaluated against usable contacts, not just fields returned. It does not remove the need to own campaign planning and follow-up. FullEnrich pricing.
Hunter combines Discover, finding, verification and Sequences in its all-in-one offering. Starter lists $34 per month billed annually. Distinguish this from the API-only data product, and check connected-email-account limits before treating it as an engagement replacement. Hunter pricing.
Lusha, Cognism and ZoomInfo for sales data
Lusha’s current free plan offers up to 40 monthly credits. Its pricing lists one credit for an email and five for a phone number. Team credit arrangements differ by plan; do not assume every option is an isolated per-user allowance. Lusha pricing.
Cognism is a relevant evaluation candidate for teams prioritising telephone outreach and defined geographic coverage. Ask for a representative sample and a written package. Vendor positioning about coverage or compliance is not proof that every record fits your campaign. Cognism pricing.
ZoomInfo belongs on the shortlist when the team needs a broader sales-intelligence package and can evaluate the contract and modules carefully. Request the exact products, export rights, integrations and usage entitlements in writing. An old third-party contract estimate is not your current quote. ZoomInfo pricing.
For these three products, score correct role, current company, reachable channel and permitted use on your actual market. Do not choose from database size alone. See Lusha alternatives and Apollo vs ZoomInfo for more focused evaluation questions.
Saleshandy when the sending workflow is the problem
Saleshandy lists Outreach Starter at $41 monthly or $34 per month billed annually, with sending, prospect and account limits. Its prospecting capabilities make it worth evaluating as a combined workflow, but data credits and sending capacity are different allowances. Saleshandy pricing.
Test replies, opt-outs, duplicate protection and CRM updates before migrating active campaigns. Compare the wider category in best cold email software.
Rhycon when you need connected automation
Rhycon is not a drop-in contact database. It is relevant when you want help operating the work from buying signals and research through outreach, qualification and booking. Pricing depends on the agreed scope. Book a conversation about your current outbound process.
A switching checklist
Export the records and activity history you need before access changes.
Preserve exclusions, opt-outs and ownership assignments.
Pilot the replacement on a representative segment with clear acceptance criteria.
Test the complete CRM handoff, including failures and duplicates.
Compare total cost and operator effort before making an annual commitment.
