What this email deliverability test checks

What this email deliverability test checks

Enter your domain and we look up four things in DNS: your MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. Each one gets a pass, warning or fail, the exact record we found, and how to fix it. Everything runs in your browser and we do not store your domain.

SPF

SPF lists the servers allowed to send email for your domain. The two most common problems are needing more than 10 DNS lookups, which makes SPF fail, and ending the record with +all or no all rule at all.

DKIM

DKIM adds a signature to every email so receivers know it was not changed in transit. Use a 2048-bit key and set it up for every service that sends as your domain.

DMARC

DMARC tells receivers what to do when SPF and DKIM fail, and sends you reports. Gmail and Yahoo require it for bulk senders. Start with p=none, then move to p=quarantine once your reports look clean.

MX

MX records say where replies and bounces go. A domain with no MX records looks suspicious to spam filters, and you cannot receive replies.

Why cold email lands in spam

Why cold email lands in spam

Most cold email deliverability problems start with authentication. If SPF, DKIM and DMARC are not set up correctly, Gmail and Outlook treat your email as untrusted before anyone reads it. Fixing your records will not fix a bad list or spammy copy, but it is the first thing to check before you send.

Email deliverability checker FAQs

Email deliverability checker FAQs

Is this email deliverability checker really free?

Yes. No signup and no email address needed.

Does it test inbox placement?

No. It checks the DNS records that decide whether your email is trusted. Inbox placement also depends on sender reputation, list quality and content.

Why does it say no DKIM key was found?

DKIM keys live at a selector name that only your email provider knows. We check more than 40 common ones. If yours is custom, enter it in the “Know your DKIM selector?” field.

What is a good score?

100 means all four checks pass. Below 75 means at least one real problem to fix before you send cold email.

How often should I check?

Every time you add a sending tool or domain, and monthly if you send at volume.
